Ain’t Misbehavin’
Teach your dog how to be calm while in the midst of distractions.  Why outside? Self control is taught, and we can help teach you to teach your dog!  Most dog training starts at home in low distraction areas, but in order to really ‘proof’ the behaviour and teach yours dogs to be relaxed and calm, you must take it outside.

Intermediate or Advanced Obedience
Our intermediate and advanced obedience training courses in Victoria will challenge your dog to master new skills and turn the two of you into a working team.  Teach your dog to respond to go find an object or person, come when called when faced with an array of distractions,  heel on and off the leash even with  other dogs around, as well as learn new tricks.  By the end of the course you will be confident of your dog’s behaviour, both on and off the leash.

Rally Obedience
Rally obedience (also known as Rally or Rally-O) is a dog sport based on obedience.  Unlike competitive obedience,  the dog and handler team proceeds around a course of designated stations with the dog in heel position.  The course consists of 10 to 20 signs that instruct the team what to do.  Unlike formal obedience, handlers are allowed to encourage their dogs during the course.  Hot Diggity Dogs teaches this course in indoor and outdoor settings.

Clicker Training
Clicker (or marker) training is the use of a reward marker.  This is very simple:  just say the word or make a click (with a clicker) and give your dog a treat within a second of the desired behaviour.  Your reward marker and treats can resolve many common behavioural problems. We will show you how to apply this method of training for everyday, real-life situations as well as for training obedience and tricks.  We focus on capturing, luring then rewarding your dog’s correct behaviour(s).
